The Town of Jay will be holding two Public Hearings prior to the next regular board meeting on Thursday 8/8/2024 at 6:00PM and 6:30PM. The Public Hearing at 6:00PM will be to hear public comments on the Town of Jay’s community development needs and to discuss possible submission of one or more CDBG applications for the 2024 program year. The Town of Jay is applying for $88,500 in CDBG funds to support the demolition of a property that has been declared as a Slum/Blight Spot (SBS) at 13127 NYS Route 9N in Jay, NY.
The 6:30PM Public Hearing will be to hear public comments on the Town of Jay’s community development needs and to discuss possible submission of one or more CDBG applications for the 2024 program year. The Town of Jay is applying for $200,000 in CDBG funds to provide a micro-enterprise program.
Both meetings will be held at the Town of Jay Community Center and are open to the public either in person or virtually via the link below. Both public hearing notices are posted here.
