A Heartfelt Thank You:

I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making our towns so festive during the holiday season! The Light Up Upper Jay initiative and the Upper Jay Fire Department did an outstanding job illuminating the Hamlet of Upper Jay.  Town of Jay employee Dan McDonald and his family did a wonderful job decorating the Jay Village Green. Christmas in the Forks marked its 20th anniversary with a spectacular celebration in the Hamlet of Au Sable Forks. A special thank you to Kevin Zaumetzer and the Au Sable Forks Fire Department for their hard work decorating the hamlet, and to the Au Sable Forks Library, Au Sable Theater, The Forks Blend and Brew, 20 Main, and the Towns of Jay and Black Brook for their contributions. This community truly sets the standard for others to follow!

Senior Activities:

While the Wilmington location of the Senior meal program is undergoing renovations, the program will be operating at the Community Center from Monday through Thursday for the next few weeks. If you’re looking to meet some new friends, stop by or reach out to Tiffany for more details! Also, starting in January, the Essex County Cooperative Extension will offer Bingocise on Mondays. Be sure to check out the attached flyer for more information!

Upcoming Weather:

A weather system is approaching, and we are preparing for heavy rain tonight through tomorrow. With the potential for flooding, due to rain and snowmelt raising rivers and streams, please be aware and stay informed. We’ll keep you updated through Voyent Alerts as the storm progresses. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to sign up for the Town of Jay Alert System at: https://us.voyent-alert.com/vras/client.html#!/registration

Hope you have a great week,

Matt.
