We held our Budget Public Hearing this past Thursday for the 2025 Preliminary Budget. I have been able to chat with several constituents since that hearing to discuss our 2025 budget and would love the opportunity go over it with anyone who would like to discuss or understand it better. You can view it from the documents page on our website. We will be discussing and adopting the 2025 budget during Thursday’s regular monthly board meeting at 7:00pm at the Community Center. You can always join this meeting virtually if you prefer.
The Comprehensive Plan now has its own website, https://planjay.com/ . You can visit it directly, or click the link on our homepage. The Comprehensive Plan survey is winding down and will close on November 22nd to tabulate the results. We have seen over 200 responses to our Comprehensive Plan survey which has been active on our website since October 17th. You still have time to submit your survey before the deadline at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6VNJNXD .
You may have noticed while you were at the Community Center voting this week that the ADA upgrade is complete. After holding the second public hearing last month, we are closing out the CDBG grant, which paid for the majority of this upgrade. The balance was paid by ARPA funds given to the Town of Jay by the Federal Government during COVID. The project was fully funded and did not have any impact on the Town of Jay budget.
