The Town of Jay Comprehensive Plan Open House is tomorrow from 5:30pm – 8:00pm in the gym at the Community Center. This will be a great time to learn about what the comprehensive plan is and the process we are undertaking. This open house will give you the ability to comment on the direction the Town of Jay will move over the next several years on various topics. We want to hear your voice, please stop in. We should not take more than 30-45 minutes of your time.
It is that time of the year for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) program registration and Open Enrollment for Medicare. There will be a representative here from the Office for the Aging at the Community Center on 10/23/24 to assist in your Medicare enrollment as many things have changed in the program for 2025. You can call the Essex County Office for the Aging at 518-873-3695 to set up an appointment for Medicare enrollment or for more information and eligibility for HEAP.
Early voting for the General Election will begin on October 26th and run through November 3rd. Early voting will take place at the Lake Placid Beach House, 31 Parkside Dr, Lake Placid, NY and the Essex County Public Safety Building, 702 Stowersville Rd., Lewis NY. The buildings are accessible to all voters. Election Day will take place in the Community Center on November 5th 6:00am – 9:00pm.
