Weekly Update:

The Town of Jay Water Department has been conducting a water service line inventory to meet a Department of Health mandate before mid-October.  Town of Jay staff will begin going door-to-door to those users who have NOT completed and submitted their water service line survey, so that we may aid in both the determination of service line material and the completion of the survey.  It’s not too late to help us by documenting your service line material yourself, saving us a trip to your residence! If you haven’t submitted your survey yet, please consider doing so online https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/53b275a0d85240558025aec70d624023

The calendar is closing in the time of year that political signs will once again be everywhere, and this year will be sooner due to it being a Presidential Election.  Please be respectful to each other’s political beliefs and freedom of speech to support the candidate of their choice.  I also ask that we be mindful of the individuals looking at what we post, display and/or say, there are youthful eyes watching all we do.  Respect goes both ways and I just ask that you be mindful of others.

Lastly, I would like to thank our Highway crew, our fire departments and emergency personnel for their work during this last round of flooding.  I am so proud of the community we live in and the individuals that work hard to keep us safe.  Great job by all!

Hope you have a great week,
Matt.
