SUPERVISOR’S WEEKLY UPDATE

Daycare in the Adirondacks has been a big issue, especially since COVID.  There have been many initiatives to help combat this problem from grants to open daycares, to financial help to afford daycare.  This week, the income limits have been raised to help more families.  If you had looked into assistance in the past, you should look again because you may be eligible.  Look at the attached flyer for more details.

This week we will be having our Regular Monthly Board meeting on August 11th at 7:00pm.  This meeting will be available virtually at: https://meet.goto.com/455178293.  On Friday at 5:30pm, we will have a public hearing with the Town of Black Brook, at their office, about increasing our project amount for the Waste Water Treatment Plant from $1.6 Million to $5.5 Million to cover the entire project with includes the Lagoon Upgrade.  By planning for the entire project we will qualify for more aid.  If we do not get any additional grant money, we will proceed with the original plan to fulfill the consent order.  MJ Engineering will be making a short presentation about the project, if you would like to join in virtually, visit this link, https://meet.goto.com/909618589
