The Town of Jay was awarded a New York Main Street Technical Grant for main street revitalization in Au Sable Forks in the amount of $20,000. The Pride of Ticonderoga helped submit and will help administer this grant, which is supported by Governor Kathy Hochul and the Housing Trust Fund Corporation (HTFC), recognizes our proposal in the 2023 Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) round. It marks a milestone in our efforts to bring much-needed attention and resources to the Town of Jay. Our project will encompass feasibility studies for building reuse, crafting design guidelines, and engaging in public outreach. These studies are crucial for laying a solid foundation for Au Sable Forks’ downtown revitalization, ensuring that our approach is both inclusive and effective. This initial funding is just the beginning. It opens avenues to secure additional grants and resources essential for a comprehensive transformation of our main street.
