SUPERVISOR’S WEEKLY UPDATE

This week we welcomed the opening of the new Stewart’s shop in Au Sable Forks.  There was only a brief interruption in service from the closing of the old shop at 7:00pm one night, and the opening of the new store the next morning.  However, I wanted to remind you that there is no gas in Au Sable Forks for the next few weeks.  Please remember there is gas at Devins in Jay, Stewart’s in Keene, the Little Supermarket in Wilmington and various locations in Keeseville.  Please plan accordingly over the next few weeks.

I had a constituent stop in my office the other day inquiring about the 2022 Homeowner Tax Rebate Credit.  I did a little research, and found that checks are being mailed throughout June, and you should receive it by the time school taxes are due.  The amount will vary based on your income and your school district.  You can find out more information at https://www.tax.ny.gov/pit/property/homeowner-tax-rebate-credit.htm

NYSEG announced their participation in a statewide program to help low income customers facing unprecedented amounts of unpaid balances due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Customers who are enrolled in the Energy Assistance Program are prequalified and do not need to take action.   To verify enrollment in EAP log into your account at www.nyseg.com/MyAccount or apply at www.nyseg.com/HelpWithBill

The last thing for this week, in an attempt to boost the attendance at our senior lunch program, we will be showing Yours, Mine and Ours at 10:00am tomorrow, Wednesday, June 22nd in the gym.  Come watch a movie, enjoy the feeling of community, and then enjoy a nice home cooked meal.

Have a great week,

Matt Stanley.
