After meeting with the well drillers this morning I am optimistic that we are getting closer to restoring water services to the users in the Jay (W2) and Upper Jay (W3) water districts. After pulling the casing and pump, it has been determined that the aquafer had filled up with mud, causing the pump to fail. The mud has been pumped out and the aquafer is clear again, however, the pump will need to be replaced. After some additional clean up today, work will resume on Monday.
A reminder that the water tanker is still on site at the Upper Jay Firehouse with clean drinking water available for any Jay (W2) or Upper Jay (W3) water user. Please remember to bring your own containers to access water.
