The Town of Jay invites community members of all ages and abilities to lend a hand in beautifying the Town’s public parks during a Spring Volunteer Day on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Volunteers will gather at four sites in the Town’s three hamlets, including:

  • Wells Memorial Library in Upper Jay, located at 12230 Route 9N.
  • Douglas Memorial Park in Jay, located on Covered Bridge Road.
  • Children’s Playground in Jay, located on Randy’s Lane.
  • Community Garden in Au Sable Forks, located on Grove Road.

This community-wide effort is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, meet neighbors, and help spruce up some of the town’s most cherished public spaces.

All ages and abilities are welcome, and no prior experience is needed. Tools, snacks, and beverages will be provided—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to pitch in!

“We’re proud to host this event and encourage everyone to come out and support our beautiful town parks and community spaces,” said Town of Jay Councilor Olivia Dwyer. “It’s a fun and meaningful way to give back.”
